Lately I've been looking at PFPs and various membership cards again, quite a few people treat avatars as tickets, thinking that just changing the picture can get you into the circle. Others think: as long as you follow the trend and attract attention, value will naturally come later. In reality: attention comes quickly and disperses just as fast, without content, services, or continuous delivery, no matter how expensive the avatar is, it’s only for a short while.

I also observed the social mining and fan tokens wave, honestly, it’s more like quantifying "online time," but what really sticks around is whether the brand is committed long-term: offline events, product benefits, community atmosphere—these slow-moving things. Anyway, I now prefer to support projects that clearly define membership benefits with small amounts; the ups and downs don’t matter, just want to get through the days steadily.
