Just looked into XRP holders by percentage distribution and it's pretty interesting how concentrated it actually is. According to the data floating around, you only need about 50k XRP to be in the top 1% of accounts. That's way less than I thought honestly.
For context, top 0.1% have 369k XRP, and if you want top 0.01% territory you're looking at 5.7M. But here's the thing - even if you're nowhere near the top tier, just having 2,486 XRP puts you in the top 10%. The distribution shows how unevenly XRP is spread across the network.
What caught my attention is how this relates to the whole settlement infrastructure angle. Some people in the community are pointing out that the real significance isn't about being a whale - it's about early positioning in what could become critical financial infrastructure. Even modest holdings of XRP could matter way more than the raw numbers suggest if adoption actually happens.
The takeaway seems to be that you don't need a massive bag to have meaningful exposure. The gap between casual holders and serious participants is smaller than most people realize.
