Ripple (XRP) rebound stalls? The 1.42 level is teetering, beware of this "boiling frog" scenario!

Hey guys, the recent market movement on May 14 really made people uneasy. Watching XRP hang around the 1.4258 level, many might still be hoping for another surge, but I advise everyone to tone down that enthusiasm for now. From the latest market logic, this looks more like the bulls are barely holding on, ready to reverse at any moment.

📉 Market reflection: Is this accumulation or distribution?
Four-hour timeframe: Let’s take a close look at this chart. XRP is still being pressed down within a downtrend channel on the larger cycle. Although there’s been some slight rebound in the past couple of days, the MA7 and MA30 moving averages are already flattening out and even showing signs of a bearish crossover. The resistance zone around 1.45 feels like a thick wall, repeatedly thwarting attempts to break through. This kind of high-level stagnation often indicates that the main players are retreating, leaving retail traders to fight amongst themselves.

One-hour timeframe: The short-term looks even worse. There’s a clear divergence between price and volume on the hourly chart. While the price is struggling to stay in a range, trading volume continues to shrink. The MACD indicator is tangled around the zero line, ready to turn downward at any moment. This slow, downward grind is most likely to catch the bulls off guard. Once it breaks below the 1.40 psychological level, the downside space will open up instantly.

Exclusive opinion: Don’t be fooled by those weak green bars. The current XRP is like a dying candle in the wind; the support below is actually very fragile. Everyone is waiting for a big surge, but the main players often choose to reverse and take profits when everyone’s consensus is strongest and defenses are weakest. I think XRP will experience a violent shakeout downward today, clearing out those leveraged longs chasing high prices.
