Deep Tide TechFlow News, May 14, according to Cointelegraph, U.S. District Attorney for the Southern District of New York Jay Clayton said in a recent court filing that Roni Cohen-Pavon, the former Chief Revenue Officer of the bankrupt crypto lending platform Celsius, has agreed to a $1.07 million forfeiture judgment. The amount was determined to be related to her criminal proceeds. Cohen-Pavon pleaded guilty in September 2023 to charges involving fraud and conspiracy to manipulate the price of the Celsius platform CEL tokens, and is expected to be sentenced this Thursday. The prosecution did not make a specific sentencing recommendation, only asking the court to consider the factor that she “provided substantial assistance.” The document also states that any cash or crypto assets she has paid in the Celsius bankruptcy case may be credited toward the forfeiture amount.
