Raoul Pal has just launched an interesting thesis at the Miami Consensus that deserves attention. Former Goldman Sachs, now CEO of Real Vision, has presented a fascinating perspective on where we are heading as a society.

The main point: AI is becoming smarter, more adaptable, and more powerful than us. Its capabilities double every year. By 2028, it will generate more text in a year than humanity has produced throughout history. Yes, you read that right.

This is where it gets interesting for those following crypto. Raoul Pal does not believe that traditional Universal Basic Income is the solution when AI replaces human labor. His alternative? Universal Equity. The idea is that ordinary people can own the underlying infrastructure networks through crypto tokens. It means direct access to the expanding Agent economy, not just passive benefits.

For Pal, this also aligns institutional adoption with the original spirit of crypto: global equal access. A retail investor today can own BTC, ETH, or SOL just like BlackRock.

A curious note from the Q&A session: when asked to choose between Bitcoin and Solana, Raoul Pal chose Solana. That’s no small thing.

His final prediction is even more radical: in five years, Agents and humans will be the main users of DeFi in a 3:2 ratio. It means that the future of decentralized finance will not be just for us humans. It’s a vision that significantly changes the way we think about the role of crypto in the coming years.
