Spain expands blockchain monitoring.



The Spanish Ministry of the Interior launched the first of its kind international course on "Tracking and Seizing Digital Assets," aiming to train a select group of officers from Spain, #البرتغال , and Andorra on digital currency tracking techniques.

The program is overseen by the Spanish Intelligence Center for Counterterrorism and Organized Crime (CITCO), and aims to enhance law enforcement agencies' capabilities in combating money laundering, organized crime, terrorism financing, and tax evasion related to digital assets.

State Secretary for Security Aina Calvo officially opened the course, which involves about 30 specialists in financial investigations and organized crime.

According to officials, participants will receive "the latest resources and knowledge" related to digital currencies, blockchain analysis, transaction tracking, and advanced digital asset seizure techniques.
