just realized i've been seeing 1k, 1m, 1b everywhere in crypto and social media but never really stopped to think about what they actually mean lol. turns out it's super simple.

so 1k = 1,000. like when people say a post got 10k views, that's 10,000 views. 100k followers means 100,000. been scrolling through exchanges and seeing 1k candles or price targets thrown around constantly, finally makes sense now.

then there's million. 1 million = 1,000,000. that's when things get real. 5 million followers, 10 million in trading volume, you know the scale. and billion is just insane - 1 billion = 1,000,000,000. that's the number you see with market caps and total value locked in defi.

honestly if you're doing anything online, whether it's youtube, trading, freelancing, or just following crypto charts, you'll see these terms constantly. the market moves in 1k increments, projects hit certain milestones in millions, and we talk about billions when discussing the whole ecosystem. kinda wild how much these numbers matter once you're actually paying attention to them.
