Seoul 2,051 won highest · Daegu 1,995 won lowest… Nationwide gasoline remains stable at around 2,011 won, and diesel also rises slightly in tandem
The average price of gasoline at nationwide gas stations is 2,011.6 KRW per liter, up 0.06 KRW month-on-month, remaining stable. Diesel also increased by 0.26 KRW to 2,005.77 KRW per liter, rising in sync but with a limited increase. Both fuels stay above 2,000 KRW per liter, with no clear trend, showing a continuous sideways movement.
By region, the highest gasoline price is in Seoul at 2,051.47 KRW per liter, 39.87 KRW above the national average. Conversely, the lowest price is in Daegu at 1,995.53 KRW, with a price gap of 55.94 KRW per liter compared to Seoul. For diesel, Seoul also has the highest price at 2,039.13 KRW, while Daegu records the lowest at 1,987.93 KRW, with a difference of 51.20 KRW per liter between the two cities.
Regionally, the Seoul metropolitan area maintains relatively high prices. Gyeonggi Province’s gasoline is 2,012.32 KRW per liter, slightly above the national average; Incheon is at 2,009.48 KRW, showing a similar trend. In the Chungcheong region, Daejeon’s gasoline price is 2,000.69 KRW, down 1.26 KRW month-on-month, with a relatively large adjustment; Chungbuk is at 2,015.92 KRW and Chungnam at 2,015.26 KRW, both still above average. Sejong is at 2,008.00 KRW, slightly below the average.
In the Yeongnam region, Busan’s gasoline price is 1,998.11 KRW, falling below 2,000 KRW and approaching the lowest level; Gyeongbuk is at 2,005.04 KRW and Gyeongnam at 2,004.17 KRW, both remaining below the average. The Honam region shows mixed fluctuations, with North Jeolla at 2,007.69 KRW and South Jeolla at 2,015.63 KRW; Jeju is at 2,027.84 KRW, maintaining the highest nationwide level and continuing the high-price trend.
International refined oil prices during the same period are at 2,011.22 KRW for gasoline and 2,005.44 KRW for diesel, similar to domestic price trends. With limited volatility in international oil prices, domestic prices are also likely to experience limited fluctuations rather than sharp increases, and are expected to continue oscillating around the 2,000 KRW range in the short term.
