Share $ASTS dropped more than 12% after earnings results.

And the reason?
The market doesn't know how to price an idea that isn't fully developed yet.

The company is trying to turn satellites into space communication towers.

Your regular phone, without a new SIM card or additional devices, connects directly to the satellite.
The idea is bold. But the business model is bolder.

ASTS does not sell directly to consumers.
It sells operational energy to telecom companies, which have the relationship with the customer.

In other words:
It owns the sky, and telecom companies own the ground.

When this equation succeeds, ASTS becomes a global coverage layer over every phone network on the planet.

The market punishes what it doesn't understand,
and this is nothing new.

The real question:
Is the 12% drop a misvaluation,
or a message from the market that the time has not yet come?
