Most students today still use Windows computers. It’s not that they don’t understand Macs are high-end, it’s just that reality is harsh: Windows is naturally built for gaming, installing educational software, doing hardware upgrades, and getting repairs done cheaply—its value for money wipes the floor. Even if Macs are more appealing, they’re only used by a small number of well-off students who do design, edit videos, or who use them to show off. For most regular students, Windows is the least picky, most durable, and the most practical option. Student computers are essentially tools, not status symbols—being able to solve problems and withstand the day-to-day grind is what matters most.
