I just saw a data snapshot of the largest assets in the world from a few months ago, and honestly, it was quite eye-opening. Real estate still dominates with a staggering valuation of $670 trillion, far above the others. Then oil, gold, and major currencies like the euro also have solid value bases. What's interesting is to see how the top 10 assets in the world are dominated by commodities and real assets. Gold is still in third place, copper and natural gas are also among the top 10. On the tech side, NVIDIA and Apple still make the list of the 10 largest assets in the world, even though their market caps are far below natural resources. This makes me think about portfolio diversification and how traditional assets still form the backbone of global wealth. Data like this is useful for perspective on the actual scale of different asset classes in the global economy.
