One work from home day per week saves ₹7,300 crore in fuel every year. Just in Delhi NCR.

Indian PM Modi said it in Hyderabad last week. Most people thought it was just advice.
Then he reduced his own convoy to just two cars. Economic Times confirmed it.
This is not just advice anymore. The Prime Minister is leading from the front.
Here is the math nobody did.
Delhi NCR has over 1.5 crore registered vehicles. Roughly 50 lakh cars commuting daily across Delhi. Gurgaon. Noida. Ghaziabad. Faridabad.
Average NCR commute burns 3 litres in traffic every day.
That is 1.5 crore litres of petrol. Every single day. Just getting people to office and back.
At ₹95 a litre that is ₹142 crore disappearing daily in fuel alone.
One work from home day per week removes 20% of that. Every week. Every month. Every year.
₹7,300 crore saved annually. In one city region. Without building a single road or buying a single EV.
India imports 85% of its oil. Crude is at $106. Every litre burned in NCR traffic is money leaving the country.
The biggest fuel saving policy in India does not need a budget. No infrastructure. No Parliament approval.
Just a laptop and a wifi connection.
