Recently, I’ve been reviewing proposals from several PFP communities, and the more I look at it, the more I find "membership" to be quite mysterious: is it about buying a long-term pass, or just enjoying a temporary hype? Frankly, brand appeal isn’t about how detailed the avatar artwork is; it depends on how the rules keep people engaged—whether the rights boundary is clearly defined, how new issuance or airdrops are constrained, and whether governance is through voting or gut decisions. The kind of collapse point in blockchain games, with inflation and studios destroying the economy right from the start, can actually be seen in many membership systems too: once attention shifts away, all that’s left is a spiral in token prices and finger-pointing. Anyway, I’m now more concerned with parameters and exit strategies; good-looking avatars are a bonus, but I don’t want to keep paying for emotional reasons.
