I recently discovered the story of Erik Finman, and honestly, it's one of the craziest journeys I've seen in crypto. This guy made a decision at 12 years old that completely changed his life.

So here it is, in 2011, his grandmother gives him $1,000 for his studies. But Erik Finman decides to do something totally crazy: put everything into Bitcoin when it was worth barely $12 each. How did he get there? He bumps into someone wearing a Bitcoin T-shirt at a political protest, someone tells him it’s going to kill Wall Street, and bam, he starts doing research. And he acts.

Years go by, he accumulates, trades, watches Bitcoin rise. At 15, Erik Finman launches Botangle, an online education platform with video tutors. Traditional school was suffocating him, so he decided to create something better. An investor offers him a choice: $100k in cash or 300 Bitcoin. At the time, Bitcoin was worth much less, but Erik Finman chooses crypto. He believed in it, that’s all.

The real turning point? A bet with his parents: if he becomes a millionaire before 18, no college. In 2017, when Bitcoin explodes beyond $2,700, his portfolio hits over a million. He kept his bet. He skipped college and launched crazy projects, like the Da Vinci Project, a NASA-backed satellite sending music and messages into space.

What strikes me about Erik Finman is his consistency. No get-rich-quick scheme. Just a core conviction, calculated risks, and an entrepreneurial vision. From $1,000 invested young to millionaire status and innovative projects, his story shows how unconventional choices can really pay off. It’s the kind of journey that reminds why some see crypto as more than just speculation.
