Just scrolled through the largest Canadian companies by market cap and it's interesting to see how the market is structured up north. RBC leading at 204.7B, followed by Shopify at 197.6B - pretty close race between the banking giant and the e-commerce player. TD Bank, Enbridge, and Bank of Montreal round out the top tier with solid valuations around 90-135B each. What caught my eye is how many financials dominate the list, then you've got some solid industrials and resources mixed in. The largest Canadian companies by market cap definitely show how much the economy leans on banking and energy infrastructure. Pretty solid foundation for the market overall.
