According to Le Journal du Coin, an attempted kidnapping and extortion targeting cryptocurrency holders took place on May 11 in the Alsace region of the Lower Rhine area in France. At present, five suspects have been arrested and detained. The Office of the Prosecutor of Saverne stated that the suspects face multiple charges, including attempted organized extortion, attempted kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, and serious violence. It is reported that the incident occurred in the town of Ottrott and was related to a leak of cryptocurrency trading data.
