Here's an interesting guy - Kimbal Musk, Elon’s brother. I recently came across his post on X, where he quite harshly criticizes Trump over tariffs, calling them a hidden tax on Americans. Funny, considering his brother is quite close to Trump. But apparently, in the Musk family, everyone has their own opinion.

Kimbal Musk is not just the billionaire’s brother. He is an independent entrepreneur with a net worth of about 700 million dollars, although most of his wealth comes from Tesla shares. But the main thing is that he is engaged in a completely different field. While Elon is launching rockets and electric cars, Kimbal focuses on ecology and charity. That’s what really sets them apart.

Interestingly, they look very similar visually. Both were born in Pretoria, have the same square jaw, straight nose, green eyes. Even their citizenships are the same - South African, Canadian, and American. But there is one detail that immediately reveals Kimbal Musk - a cowboy hat. He almost always wears it; it’s his signature style.

Their story began in Pretoria, where they grew up in difficult conditions. Together with their younger sister Tosca, both brothers experienced violence from a parent, which led their mother Maya to divorce in 1979. After that, the family emigrated to Canada, then to the USA. It was there that Kimbal and Elon co-founded Zip2 - a startup for business POs. They sold it in 1999 to Compaq for 307 million dollars. That was their first serious success.

So Kimbal Musk is not just the brother of a well-known entrepreneur, but a person with his own story and path. Different approaches to life, different priorities, but it’s clear that the brothers respect and love each other despite disagreements over political issues.
