Techub News reports that, according to CryptoBriefing, the Attorney General of Florida has launched a criminal investigation into OpenAI. Previously, the family members of victims of the Florida State University shooting filed a federal lawsuit, accusing ChatGPT of assisting the shooter in planning the April 2025 attack, claiming it provided tactical advice and verified violent plans. The lawsuit documents show that the shooter uploaded photos of weapons to ChatGPT, discussed attack plans, and asked how to attract media attention. The family members allege that OpenAI did not alert law enforcement authorities. Currently, the case could impact all companies deploying large language models, including Web3 platforms.
