Just checked who's actually holding the most Bitcoin out there, and the data is pretty wild. Satoshi's original 1.1M BTC still sitting untouched from the early days - that's insane when you think about it. The pseudonymous creator remains the highest bitcoin holder by far, and those coins have literally never moved.
What's interesting is how institutional money has flooded in behind. BlackRock alone is sitting on over 305K BTC, making them probably the biggest institutional holder. Then you've got MicroStrategy going all-in with 226K BTC as their treasury asset - Michael Saylor really bet the company on this. Grayscale's got 263K BTC locked up in their investment trusts, and Fidelity's managing over 181K for their clients.
The governments are in on it too - US holds around 213K BTC mostly from seizures, China's got roughly 190K. A couple major CEX platforms are custodying huge amounts for users, and there's also Block.one with 164K BTC behind the EOS ecosystem.
It's wild seeing how concentrated Bitcoin actually is. The highest bitcoin holder list basically shows you Satoshi, then institutional money, then governments. The whole supply story really hits different when you see it visualized like this.
