Iran: The precondition for negotiations with the U.S. is to end the hostilities and lift the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz

Golden Finance reports that on May 13, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghai stated on May 12 local time that ending the fighting and lifting the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz are prerequisites for any negotiations with the United States. Baghai also said that what the U.S. is asking for is Iran’s “complete surrender,” not real dialogue. He also pointed out that responsibility for the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz lies with the United States; under international law, a maritime blockade constitutes an act of war. (CCTV News)
