I'm starting to record my trades. Honestly, it's not about being more professional, I just don't want to stare at a bunch of on-chain hashes and have my mental state explode at the end of the year. I used to think "it's all on the chain, I can look it up," but when it comes to explaining where a certain amount of money came from, why it moved from A to B, or why it was exchanged for a certain NFT, my brain just disconnects... Now, before and after each trade, I casually write a couple of lines: what is this trade for, is it an investment or pure consumption, is there an expected cash flow. Recently, before and after the public chain upgrade, everyone was guessing whether the project would migrate or not. I also got caught up in shifting my positions a few times, and I feel like recording is like leaving a storyline for myself, otherwise everything would be just fragments later. Anyway, I keep all the records I can, so I won't argue with myself later.
