Thanks to eased market competition, JD.com (09618) food delivery losses narrowed quarter-over-quarter, driving the group’s first-quarter adjusted net profit to 7.4 billion yuan (RMB). Although down 42% year-over-year, it significantly outperformed the estimated 5.3 billion yuan, with revenue increasing by 4.9% to 315.7 billion yuan.
