Just realized how many people in crypto don't actually know what 1k in numbers really means. Like, I see it all the time on Twitter and Discord, but not everyone gets it.
So here's the thing – K is short for kilo, which basically means thousand. Super simple. 1K = 1,000. If someone says 10K, they're talking about 10,000. 100K is 100,000. Pretty straightforward once you know the pattern.
Then you've got Million, which is where things get bigger. 1 million is literally 1,000 times bigger than 1K. So 1M = 1,000,000. When you see someone talking about making "1M in volume" or whatever, that's a million. 5M would be 5 million, 10M is 10 million. You get the idea.
And then there's Billion – which honestly blows people's minds. 1 billion is 1,000 million. 1B = 1,000,000,000. That's a lot of zeros. Most people don't actually visualize how massive that number is until they see it written out.
Honestly, understanding 1k in numbers and these bigger figures is super useful if you're into crypto or any online stuff. You see market caps, trading volumes, and valuations thrown around constantly. If you don't know what these terms actually mean, you'll get confused fast. I used to mix them up all the time until I just sat down and learned the conversions.
So next time you're scrolling through crypto news and see something about a "100M market cap" or "1B in volume," you'll actually know what that means instead of just nodding along. Makes a difference when you're trying to evaluate projects or understand market movements.
