Having been in the crypto world for so long, I’ve seen countless surges and crashes, and witnessed too many stories of chasing gains and cutting losses. Now I finally understand that the most reliable trump card is never short-term trading, but the few BTCs held in hand and the belief in “Hold On for Dear Life.”

This card with “HODL” written on it is my only ace this week. Market fluctuations are like a roller coaster—some people chase in at the high points, cut losses at the lows, ending up empty-handed; others hold onto their chips amid the volatility, watching prices go up and down but remaining as steady as a mountain. Every BTC correction is washing out the indecisive; only those who truly believe in its long-term value can withstand the market noise and wait for their own dividends.

I know very well that short-term rises and falls are just a game of market sentiment. Today’s sharp increase might fall back tomorrow, and the current correction could just be a prelude to an upward move. Instead of panicking over candlestick charts, it’s better to focus on the long-term trend. Over the years at Gate, I’ve seen too many people in crypto with short-term thinking—making a little profit and getting complacent, losing a bit and panicking, ultimately losing all their capital through repeated trading. Those who truly make money are mostly patient HODLers—they are unaffected by short-term fluctuations, not disturbed by external noise, and steadfastly hold quality assets, letting time work for them.

This week, I won’t change my plan because of price fluctuations, won’t sell in panic, and won’t go all-in in frenzy. I will continue holding my BTC, treating short-term volatility as normal market rhythm, and using HODL as a weapon against uncertainty. After all, in the crypto world, patience and conviction are the most scarce resources, and I am willing to be the one who keeps the chips safe, waiting for the bloom. In the Gate community, there are countless others like me—holders who don’t need encouragement because everyone understands that true confidence comes from trust in assets and rationality that isn’t swayed by emotions.
