I just came across the ranking of the richest actors of all time, and honestly, the numbers are shocking. Jami Gertz at the top with 3 billion? That's more than the wealth of many countries. But wait, Brock Pierce with 2 billion is also crazy.
What surprised me the most - the wealthiest actors of all time are mainly guys from Hollywood, but look at Shahrukh Khan or Jackie Chan, who are making their way into this list from India and Hong Kong. Jerry Seinfeld, Dwayne Johnson, Tom Cruise - all between 600-950 million. These are no longer just acting salaries; it's business, production, investments.
Behind them, a whole bunch of well-known faces - Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert Downey Jr., each around 300 million. Keanu Reeves with 380 million, Clint Eastwood with 375. When you look at these richest actors of all time, you see that earning from Hollywood is not just about acting in movies.
And then there are those like Alain Delon or Ray Romano with 200 million - still astronomical amounts, but at the end of the list. I'm curious what would change in these numbers in another 5 years? Some of them are probably already earning more through investments than from their acting careers.
