Today, on-chain data is "lagging" again, and I thought I accidentally placed the wrong order with a shaky hand... Actually, many times it's not your internet being bad, but the indexer/Subgraph in the background slowly catching up with blocks, or the RPC you're using is rate-limited: when requests pile up, you get queued, and the page stalls for a couple of seconds. Basically, what you see as "balance/trades/positions" are all compiled summaries, and if they're not finished, you can only see the old data for now. Recently, there's been talk of increased taxes and tighter compliance in certain regions, causing deposit and withdrawal expectations to shift, leading everyone to flock to check data and flood the RPC, making it more prone to lag. Anyway, now I just treat delays as untrustworthy, don't be reckless, set your stop-loss first... Otherwise, you'll really get caught up in your own emotions and get overwhelmed.
