An interesting project worth paying attention to. I recently learned about Mao Dao, which is being developed under the wing of Hash Global. At first glance, it looks like an attempt to build something more meaningful for the Chinese Web3 community.
The project structure is quite intriguing — they have divided everything into two directions. On one side, it’s a global platform for Chinese people working in the Web3 space. The idea is to create a true home for this community. On the other side, Mao Dao positions itself as a platform for managing private traffic for influential figures in the entertainment world. It’s quite ambitious.
I noticed their approach to the issue of mass adoption. In their view, for Web3 products to truly reach the masses in China, they need to be independent of user specifics, not tied to particular digital currencies, and have a unified identification system for internet navigation. This is a logical approach.
Currently, Mao Dao has already registered dozens of community members. The website is undergoing a redesign, and the internal infrastructure is actively being built out. It’s clear that the project is moving forward with concrete steps. It will be interesting to see how Mao Dao finds practical applications of technologies for Web3 teams that have already invested in this area.
If they can truly build a strong community and find real use cases, it could become an interesting player in the market. It’s worth keeping an eye on its development.
