Techub News reports, according to Xinhua News Agency, Turkish police detained 43 people on May 12 during joint operations in 16 provinces, targeting a network that funds the Islamic State (IS) organization using cryptocurrency. The network transferred approximately $170k through 19 wallet addresses between 2021 and 2025.

It is reported that the network shared wallet addresses via extremist Telegram channels, disguising them as humanitarian aid for families in Syrian detention camps.
After a six-month investigation by the Counter-Terrorism and Financial Crime Investigation Board, police seized digital evidence and documents during the operation, and are currently still pursuing six other suspects.
