US Core Inflation Hits 7-Month High as April CPI Tops Estimates
U.S. headline CPI rose 3.8% year over year in April, above the 3.7% market estimate. Core CPI rose 2.8% year over year, above the 2.7% estimate. Core CPI also rose 0.4% month over month on a seasonally adjusted basis, above the 0.3% estimate.
