U.S. energy inflation year-over-year growth rate remained high in April

BlockBeats News, May 12 — The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data shows that in April, the seasonally adjusted energy inflation in the United States increased by 3.8% month-over-month, compared to a 10.9% increase in March; among them, energy commodities inflation rose by 5.6% month-over-month, previously 21.3%, gasoline inflation increased by 5.4% month-over-month, previously 21.2%, and fuel oil inflation increased by 5.8% month-over-month, previously 30.7%.

In April, unadjusted energy inflation year-over-year increased by 17.9%, compared to a 12.5% increase in March; among them, energy commodities inflation increased by 29.2% year-over-year, gasoline inflation increased by 28.4% year-over-year, and fuel oil inflation increased by 54.3% year-over-year.
