US inflation just came in hotter than expected.

- CPI year over year hit 3.8%. Up from 3.3% last month. Was supposed to be 3.7%.
- Core CPI which strips out food and energy came in at 2.8% annually. Up from 2.6%. Higher than the 2.7% estimate.
Three months in a row inflation is moving higher. Not lower.
Remember the Fed needs inflation near 2% before cutting rates. We are sitting at 3.8%. Almost double their target.
Rest. #DYOR
