Do you know what it means when someone talks about 1K, 1M, or 1B? I see this all the time on social media, YouTube, cryptocurrencies, and it wasn't very obvious to me at first.

Basically, 1K is a thousand. The letter K actually comes from kilo. So 10K is ten thousand, 100K is one hundred thousand. Just like that. When you see someone saying they earned 1K in a month, they’re talking about a thousand reais or dollars, right?

Now, 1M is one million. 5M is five million, 10M is ten million. That’s a much bigger scale. And 1B is a billion, that huge number with nine zeros: 1k,000,000.

I think everyone who works online should really know this. Whether on YouTube, freelancing, cryptocurrency, or anything like that. Because when you’re looking at trading volume stats, a coin’s market cap, or someone’s earnings online, these terms show up all the time.

Think about it: if you’re tracking a coin with a market cap of 1K versus another with 1M, they’re completely different worlds, you know? The difference between 1K and 1M is a thousand times. And between 1M and 1B, it’s another thousand times.

Understanding these numbers helps you avoid being fooled by numbers that seem big but aren’t really that much. And it also helps you make better decisions when you see opportunities out there. It’s really worth knowing this.
