I've been following this movement by Michael J. Saylor and the MicroStrategy team regarding Bitcoin security. Basically, they are orchestrating a very interesting initiative to address the risks that quantum computing poses to current cryptography.
The thing is: although quantum threats are still about ten years away, the idea is not to wait until the last minute. They are mobilizing global cybersecurity and cryptography experts to develop research strategies and real risk mitigation plans.
What I find relevant is that Michael Saylor and his team are thinking proactively. It's not just about identifying the problem, but also about preparing the Bitcoin protocol for possible updates that ensure the network's resilience in the long term. It's like an early insurance against a threat we know is coming but hasn't arrived yet.
This really reflects the mindset of the crypto ecosystem to evolve and adapt. The international collaboration to solve this is very promising, considering the size of the challenge. It's worth keeping an eye on how this project develops in the coming months.
