Just scrolled through Bitcoin's price history on this day across the years and it's wild to see how far we've come. Back in 2012 the bitcoin price in 2012 was sitting at just $4.86, then it exploded to $92 the next year. The volatility is insane when you look at the full timeline.

The journey from those early days is pretty crazy - $457 in 2014, dropped to $244 in 2015, then climbed back to $416 in 2016. 2017 was the year everyone talks about with $1,071, followed by that massive $6,973 run in 2018. Even after the corrections, we saw $4,105 in 2019 and $6,448 in 2020.

2021 hit different with $58,801, then $45,823 in 2022 after the crash. 2023 settled around $28,556, and we hit $70,520 last year. Now we're sitting at $80.83K and honestly it's interesting to reflect on how bitcoin price movements have evolved since those early 2012 days. Makes you wonder what we'll be looking at next year.
