Recently, I find myself reflecting on this matter of aliens and UFO sightings that continue to circulate online.
There are a lot of people convinced that governments are hiding evidence of extraterrestrial civilizations, but then there are skeptics who debunk everything with cold logic.
Elon Musk is one of the most vocal in saying that not everything that glitters is gold.
He posted on Twitter that, at the moment, we have no concrete evidence of alien visits to Earth.
And if we look at UFO sighting videos on YouTube, let's be honest, they are all blurry and unconvincing.
Musk raises an interesting point: almost everyone on Earth has a smartphone with a decent camera.
If aliens were really visiting the planet, shouldn't we have thousands of high-definition testimonies?
Instead, nothing.
The videos always remain of poor quality, as if deliberately so.
Then there's another aspect that Elon Musk doesn't fail to highlight:
the distances between planetary systems are simply enormous.
An extraterrestrial spaceship would have to travel light-years to reach us.
Even with advanced technology, keeping a crew alive during such a journey is almost impossible with what we know about physics.
But here comes Edward Snowden, complicating things.
In an interview with Joe Rogan in 2019, the whistleblower admitted that despite his access to CIA, NSA, and military data,
he found no convincing evidence of aliens on Earth.
However, he added something interesting:
there's probably something unexplainable that we still don't understand.
It's not a confirmation, but it's not a total denial either.
Recently, the Pentagon released documents and videos of encounters between military pilots and UFOs.
Officially, they acknowledge that these unidentified flying objects could have an extraterrestrial origin.
Meanwhile, astronomers continue scanning millions of stars searching for signs of intelligent life, but so far, they haven't found anything concrete.
So where are we?
Elon Musk and skeptics say there’s no proof.
Snowden says there might be something but he doesn’t know what.
The Pentagon admits to unexplained anomalies.
Astronomers are still searching.
It’s quite a mess, and honestly, I find it fascinating how the issue remains open despite all the technology we have.
