I've noticed that many beginners don't understand that a retest is actually one of the most important moments for entering a position. When the price breaks through a certain level and then returns to it, it's not just a coincidence. At this level, supply accumulates, and the market constantly returns to it like a magnet. Every time a retest occurs, it's a repeated touch of the broken zone, and we see the same characteristics in price behavior. It doesn't matter whether you're trading on five-minute candles or daily charts, the mechanics are the same. Honestly, practicing waiting for the right moment has taught me patience more than anything else. I used to open a position immediately on a breakout, but then I realized it's better to wait until the price returns to that level. Then, the chances of a successful trade are much higher. No pattern or figure is complete without a retest. It's a universal law of the market. Important zones always act as attracting and repelling forces for the price. A retest is not just a technical concept; it's more like market psychology, where participants repeatedly test these levels. Of course, there is an alternative approach where you enter right on the breakout, but personally, I prefer to wait for a more favorable opportunity. It requires discipline, but the results are worth it.
