Recently, AI videos have been flooding the internet, especially after seeing the effects created with Seedance 2.0, I finally understand why so many people are into this. I was still wondering how to get started quickly, but then I realized it's not that complicated.
ByteDance's Yimeng AI launched Seedance 2.0 in February this year, and honestly, it’s quite user-friendly. What attracts me the most is that you can upload text, images, videos, and audio all at once, and the system automatically generates a 5 to 12-second video. Plus, the lip-sync matching feature is truly excellent. I tried uploading a photo and a voice clip, and it automatically generated a corresponding video with very accurate lip movements.
For beginners, text-to-video is the easiest to get started with—just describe the scene and actions you want, and the system will generate it directly. The key is to be specific with your prompts; don’t just say “very beautiful,” but clearly describe the scene, characters, camera movements, and other details. I usually start testing with 8 seconds, and if the results are good, I’ll adjust the parameters.
If you want more precise control, you can use the image-to-video mode, upload the starting and ending frames, and let Seedance 2 fill in the middle actions automatically. This is especially useful for short dramas, as it maintains character consistency and prevents characters from changing between shots.
Membership starts at 69 yuan, and for non-members, some features are still in testing. After trying it a few times, I found that instead of obsessing over parameters, it’s better to experiment with different prompt combinations, which often lead to unexpected results. I especially recommend trying multi-material fusion—adding text, images, and music together—because the final product’s quality is completely different.
