【US Stock Futures】Dow Jones futures down 69 points, Nasdaq futures down 0.6% New York crude oil prices above $100 (updating constantly)
U.S. stock futures declined on Tuesday during Asian hours, with Dow futures down 69 points, at 49,723; S&P 500 futures down 23 points, at 7,413; Nasdaq futures down 183 points or 0.6%, at 29,241. Oil prices rose, with New York crude surpassing $100, up 2% to $100.02; Brent crude increased by 1.5%, at $105.8. Gold prices were softer, with New York gold down 0.4%, at $4,710; spot gold fell 0.8%, at $4,698. The U.S. will release April CPI and core CPI data today, along with the NFIB Small Business Optimism Index.

Monday: Trump considers military action against Iran; oil rises 2.8%; Dow gains 95 points; S&P surpasses 7400
According to U.S. news site Axios, President Trump is considering military action against Iran. U.S. officials say Trump still hopes to reach an agreement to end the conflict, but Iran refuses key U.S. demands and refuses to make substantial concessions on its nuclear program, bringing military options back into focus.

New York crude oil rose as high as $100.37, closing at $98.07, still up 2.78%; Brent crude up 2.88%, closing at $104.21.
The U.S. dollar index rose 0.26%, to 98.1563. In earnings news, Circle (CRCL) will report after market close.
Morgan Stanley states that the oil market is “racing against time,” with investors expecting the Strait to reopen. Crude futures have not broken 2022 highs, but if the Hormuz Strait remains blocked into June, beyond what China or the U.S. can bear, markets could tighten again.
The bank’s baseline forecast is that the Strait will reopen before U.S. export restrictions and China’s import slowdown, but if supply remains constrained into late June or July, Brent crude may face upward pressure.
U.S. existing home sales for April increased 0.2% month-over-month to an annualized rate of 4.02 million units, below the expected 4.05 million; median home prices rose 0.9% YoY to $417.7k.
