Brothers, Anthropic quietly released a repository of AI tools for the financial industry on GitHub, I browsed through the README and was amazed.
Simply put: common workflows for investment banking, research, PE, wealth management, and fund operations are all pre-built with AI agents and skill packs.
Highlights overview:
• Pitch Agent: automatically generates from comps to LBOs to PPTs
• Model Builder: DCF and three-statement models built directly in Excel, no manual formulas needed
• Earnings Reviewer: feed in financial reports directly, automatically update models
• GL Reconciler: find discrepancies in reconciliations without manual work, maximize efficiency
• 11 data connectors: FactSet, S&P, Morningstar are all integrated, no data source worries
Usage is super simple:
You can install the Cowork plugin, deploy via API, or use directly in Excel/PPT/Word (Microsoft 365 plugin)
Technology stack? Nonexistent
All markdown and JSON, zero compilation. Fork it, tweak prompts, and it’s your own—extremely low barrier for secondary development.
Apache 2.0 license, free for commercial use, this is very important.
Honestly, after seeing this, it feels like the spring for finance workers is coming; the time saved on building models, writing memos, and making decks could be halved.
