Today I flipped through a DAO proposal. On the surface it says “optimize incentives,” but if you cut through the wording, it’s basically tightening the link between voting power and rewards: the more you have and the more often you vote, the easier it is to get a share in the next distribution—so the power structure quietly hardens. I used to be impulsive and jump into the group chat to argue a couple of lines, but I’ve learned my lesson now: I check first the wallet distribution and delegation relationships. Who’s pushing things behind the scenes, and who will directly benefit—at a glance it doesn’t feel very “democratic.” (Am I conspiracy theorizing again…)

And honestly, the recent rift over privacy coins/mixing compliance also looks pretty similar. People are arguing about justice, but what the proposal actually writes is “who is allowed to get into the room.” Anyway, I’ll cast my vote with my hand stayed for now—don’t let emotions get the better of me and vote a regretful “wrong one.”
