Why is AI so popular?

1. I think AI is very much like the top-tier equipment we used to pursue when playing games. Although the top-tier gear might only have about a 20% better attribute than the second-best, some people are willing to spend ten times the effort to pursue it. Just like martial artists in the Jianghu pursue divine weapons like the Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre. Once you have the best, subconsciously you don't want to use inferior ones. The saying "it's hard to go from luxury to frugality" applies here.
2. It’s also very similar to Liu Bei pursuing Zhuge Liang, because AI can occasionally provide you with strategic insights like the "Longzhong Plan" for your life and career, and can also serve as a psychological counselor or a tireless subordinate who always hits the mark. Once Liu Bei had Zhuge Liang, he wouldn’t trade him even for ten A Dou.
Then, the most top-tier and powerful people in the world are experiencing these advantages of AI deeply every day, naturally attracting global attention and capital into the AI track. This is the current world's pursuit and competition for divine weapons like the Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre.
We should be glad that if China hadn't developed AI like Deepseek to counter it, allowing the Americans to monopolize AI completely, AI could really be turned into a strategic weapon. The side with AI can truly strike a lower dimension against the side without AI. Not to mention, if the best AI can only be accessed abroad, heavy AI users might simply choose to work abroad or immigrate just for AI.
