In a new statement, Trump highlighted how large Wall Street investment firms have been aggressively buying single-family homes — often paying cash, skipping inspections, and converting them into rentals.
He signed an Executive Order banning these firms from purchasing single-family homes and is urging Congress to pass the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which has already cleared the Senate with nearly 90 votes.
The goal: Make homes available for families, not corporations.
This is one of Trump’s clearest populist economic moves — directly targeting institutional investors in the housing market.
