Bank of America pushes first Fed rate-cut call to second half of 2027

Bank of America now expects the Federal Reserve to delay interest rate cuts until the second half of 2027. BofA Global Research had previously projected two cuts this year, one in September and one in October. BofA economists said high inflation, strong employment growth, and shocks including the war in Iran, tariffs, and artificial intelligence are making the rate path harder to predict.
