CoinWorld News, a large fire broke out on an oil platform near the waters off Santa Barbara County, California, on the 11th, with 26 workers evacuated urgently. The U.S. Coast Guard confirmed that two people were injured in the fire. The Coast Guard, Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol, and local fire departments launched emergency rescue operations, safely evacuating all 26 platform workers. Currently, law enforcement agencies have established a safety perimeter around the platform. On-site footage shows the entire platform shrouded in thick smoke, with fireboats spraying large streams of water to extinguish the fire, which is still ongoing.
