These days, when looking at the AI NFT market, many really interesting projects are emerging. At first, I thought it was just a craze for AI tokens, but meaningful movements are also happening in the NFT space.
First, the ai16z partner project is worth paying attention to. It’s an NFT series created by community members, officially supported by ai16z, and founder Shaw has expressed support multiple times on Twitter. There’s even a dedicated role for NFT holders in Discord. Back then, the floor price was around 4 SOL, and it’s impressive to see AI NFT projects like this creating value through community trust and official backing.
What’s even more interesting is the case of Zerebro. It can be called the first NFT series directly created by an AI agent. Although its market cap is behind ai16z, it has two compelling stories—official approval and AI generation—so it might be valued even higher. The floor price at that time was 5.7 SOL.
Virtuals’ Free Mint Land series is also a fascinating case. Officially launched in July 2024, limited to 100 pieces. At that time, it took about 20 minutes to mint due to high competition, but looking back, it was a rare opportunity to get them at such a low price. Riding the wave of AI NFT popularity, it established itself as an AI leader project on the Base network, with the current floor around 11 ETH. It might be considered one of the biggest NFT plays of the year.
Freysa AI’s 2049 collection takes a different approach. It’s a limited NFT that runs autonomously in a TEE environment, with a minting price of 0.25 ETH and a total of 2049 pieces. The current floor is near 0.6 ETH, and with the token $FAI’s market cap at around $370 million, the project’s scale is quite substantial.
Among older projects, Smol Brains stands out. Also called Magic Monkey, this series has been a core PFP in the Treasure DAO ecosystem since the last cycle. It was said to have quadrupled last week, mainly because Shaw is creating an AI game called Smol World. Each NFT acts as an AI agent in an on-chain game, allowing PvP asset theft. It’s also integrated with the Eliza framework, so the technical foundation looks solid. The $SMOL token has increased up to 8 times, with a current market cap of about $16.5 million.
Parallel is a TCG game on the Base chain, backed by a $50 million funding round led by Paradigm. Even YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley invested, so the background is strong. They’re also developing a survival game called Parallel Colony, where AI agents cooperate with players to progress. The current floor price for Parallel Avatars is around 1 ETH, and testing is scheduled to go live in Q1 this year.
CryptoAgent isn’t launched yet, but it’s intriguing. It’s an NFT series created by AI agents, and the key point is that it’s fully on-chain. Images are rendered via smart contract code. The project was started by founders of BVM and Eternal AI, so the technical credibility is likely solid.
Botto is a different kind of AI NFT project. It’s a decentralized AI artist active since 2021, creating 350 artworks weekly, with the community voting on which pieces to auction on SuperRare. 40% of voting revenue is rewarded to voters. Its artistic quality is recognized, with six pieces auctioned at Sotheby’s in October 2024 for a total of $351,600. The current $BOTTO market cap is about $31 million.
Neura differs from existing AI image generation platforms. It aims to be a decentralized, self-aware AI artist. Users can influence Neura’s creations through Android NFTs. The first series, ‘The Memories,’ has completed pre-minting, which involves users providing inspiration to the AI, and then the AI regenerates based on that.
alignDRAW is a pure art project focused on the history of AI development. It achieved the first AI image generation from text prompts in 2015. Its initial minting price was 0.1 ETH, but in 2024, it reached an all-time high of 3 ETH, with the current floor around 1.66 ETH.
Ultimately, looking at the AI NFT market, it’s clear that many projects are no longer just speculative assets but incorporate real utility and technological innovation. From gaming to art and trading, AI and NFTs are merging across various fields, opening up new possibilities. Although still in the early stages, watching how these AI NFT projects develop will surely be fascinating.
