CryptoWorld News reports that Foundry and Antpool support the Stratum V2 protocol, and seven mining pools have joined the working group, covering nearly 75% of the Bitcoin hash rate in total. Specifically, Foundry controls 34.2%, Antpool 14.2%, F2Pool 11.3%, SpiderPool 10.5%, and Mara Pool 4.7%. Stratum V2 changes the way block content is decided; although hash rate concentration has not changed, it is still dominated by large mining pools. Antpool CEO Andy Zhou said that supporting Stratum V2 will promote industry cooperation in efficiency, security, and decentralization. At present, CoinShares estimates that about 20% of global Bitcoin mining pools may be operating without profit, and network difficulty is expected to rise from 132.47T to 135.64T on May 15.
