I tried delegating governance votes once, hoping to save some effort: after all, I probably can't understand every proposal.

After a few weeks, I checked the on-chain records and found that most votes flowed to those few "familiar faces," no matter how fancy the proposals were, it seemed like they were just stamping their approval...
Honestly, in token governance, it's often not about the protocol itself, but about who has more time and resources to build influence.

Recently, airdrop season feels like going to work, with task platforms both anti-witchcraft and point-based systems, everyone competing to retain and increase interaction;
But when it comes to governance, the vast majority are still too lazy to vote, or just delegate with a single click.
Anyway, I now pay more attention to "cold" metrics like TVL and fee rates, and for governance, I pick a few key proposals to vote on myself, and the rest I just don't bother pretending to participate in.
