Discovering that the Uphold wallet has a new feature, their self-custody wallet Vault now supports Bitcoin. When this wallet was first launched, it only supported XRP, and it wasn't officially available until the end of last year. Now they've added support for BTC, which seems to be progressing quite quickly.
The main idea of the Uphold wallet is to let users control their private keys themselves, without storing them on exchanges. The addition of Bitcoin is probably the next step in their plan. It is said that it will be fully launched earlier this year, but it is likely still in the beta testing phase.
It seems that all major platforms are making efforts in the self-custody wallet space, and Uphold's move can be seen as keeping up with the trend. Are you using self-custody wallets?
