Senate Banking Committee Sets May 14 CLARITY Act Markup

The Senate Banking Committee will mark up the US CLARITY Act on May 14 after Chair Tim Scott confirmed the vote date. The bill was introduced in July 2025 and stalled in January after Coinbase withdrew support over concerns about developer protections, stablecoin yield, and DeFi rules. Kara Calvert said the bill needs at least 60 Senate votes and bipartisan support to become law.
