Trump says Iran negotiations lack good faith, still leaves open the possibility of diplomatic resolution

BlockBeats News, May 12 — U.S. President Donald Trump issued a statement saying that Iran’s negotiation representatives “constantly change their stance” during consultations, and described the other side as “lacking integrity.”

He also stated that the U.S. side had waited four days for Iran’s documents, but that the documents “could actually be completed in ten minutes.” Trump further said, “No one wants to be the Iranian president right now.”

Regarding the situation, Trump said that the Iran issue “still has the possibility of being resolved through diplomatic means.” He added that even if the Strait of Hormuz resumes navigation, there will still be buyers continuing to purchase U.S. crude oil.
